The Bridge Project is an international film and theater initiative conducted by Richard Foreman and Sophie Haviland. Foreman and Haviland travel to countries around the world to conduct intensive theater/film workshops with groups of professional artists and students (filmmakers, directors, writers, performers, visual artists) creating digital video - seed material - for use in theater, film and visual art.
The Bridge Project encourages sharing creative and professional resources, especially across international borders, to create as many individual art works as possible from Bridge material and increase the potential for creative and cultural exchange among Bridge participants.
Bridge Project workshops have been conducted in ten countries since 2004 (Australia, Portugal, England, Germany, Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Romania, USA).
